WAD Ionic Soils 2026
conducted ionic-leach soil sampling programme across an exploration licence at Al Dariah, Qassim Region, Saudi Arabia — targeting concealed, deep-seated mineralization.
Project Exploration Geologist at ARCHEAN Mining in Saudi Arabia, and co-founder of Tricky-Tec, a 3D visualization studio back in Alexandria — two ways of turning what's underground into something you can see.
I'm a geochemistry graduate from Alexandria University who ended up on two tracks at once. In the field, I map, sample, and log core across gold and industrial mineral projects in Saudi Arabia and Egypt, working to JORC and 43-101 standards. Away from the field, I co-founded Tricky-Tec, a studio that turns engineering and geological data into 3D visualizations clients can actually understand.
The two feed each other more than you'd expect. Years spent explaining what a core sample or a drill target means to non-geologists is exactly the instinct that makes a good 3D animation — you're always translating something complex into something someone can act on.
Sites I've worked on or visited across Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and the UAE. Click a marker for details.
Identify zones of mineralization and estimate mineral resources for gold projects in compliance with JORC and 43-101. Bridge mining companies with labs, investors, and drilling contractors to keep programs moving.
Delineated small-scale mineralized zones for pan-mill and cyanide-leaching production. Helped the exploration team locate a first-stage ore body on a tight budget within ten months of fieldwork.
Ran Standard Penetration and Cone Penetration Test operations, plus visual logging of core samples — color, texture, grain size — to ASTM and BS standards.
Regional exploration across potential mineralization zones — mapping, sampling, and daily QA/QC on logging and assay data. Planned reverse circulation and diamond drilling programs, including target selection.
Selected work across gold and copper exploration, small-scale production, geotechnical investigation and geospatial tooling in Saudi Arabia and Egypt — each with the commodity, my role, the approach, and the result.

conducted ionic-leach soil sampling programme across an exploration licence at Al Dariah, Qassim Region, Saudi Arabia — targeting concealed, deep-seated mineralization.

Field reconnaissance and grab sampling at Shajwa, Al Madinah Province, Saudi Arabia, to assess copper mineralization and define follow-up targets.

Helped discover ~30,000 t of ore at ~1 g/t Au in the first production stage — on a limited budget and within 10 months of exploration.

Built custom QGIS plugins that automate permitting workflows — locating areas available for licence application — and streamline remote-sensing tasks.

Greenfield exploration: collected thousands of grab samples and hand specimens to map mineralization zones and prepare for diamond drilling.

Ran Standard Penetration Test (SPT) and Cone Penetration Test (CPT) operations with visual logging and description of core samples to ASTM and BS standards.
Co-founded with Ashraf Mokhtar — a mechanical engineer and 3D visualization expert — Tricky-Tec is a studio out of Alexandria doing 3D visualization, animation and software for engineering, oil & gas, geology, and mining clients across Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Qatar.
My role as co-founder and non-executive director is part strategy, part storytelling: figuring out how to explain technically dense work — a jaw crusher's mechanics, a mineral concession map — to the people who need to approve the budget for it.
